What Can I Do For You?

A Tribe Called Sweat is the UK’s premier rehabilitation and personal training centre.  Delivering provable results through a scientific approach whilst delivering a s 5-star customer service experience every session, every time.

Initially conceptualised as personal training centre, we noticed a trend: that we were helping more and more cases of people with injuries, conditions and on medication. We often see serious cases, where people want to train and get results but are nervous of going to a “normal” gym for fear of making whatever their condition worse.

Founder Ben Brand has over 20 year’s experience as a personal trainer, strength coach and rehabilitation specialist, with the majority of people seeking out his guidance as to how they could work through their condition. Many times Ben was their last hope pre-surgery and in many case post-surgery.

Personal training typically focuses on such goals as weight loss, muscle gain, general fitness, health improvements and sometimes confidence improvement. Before and after transformation pictures are everywhere. We do all this for you at Tribe, whilst helping you train around your condition.

What if your transformation was being able to move without pain again, as well as 8 kilos of fat loss!  We continually do this as we are experts at training you through your condition.


Your journey starts with a one-to-one consultation during which you undertake a Functional Movement Screen and Body Scan Analysis with one of our expert trainers. This tells them everything they need to know about how you move, what exercises you can do and should not be doing, body fat analysis, visceral fat analysis, skeletal mass and recommendations moving forward.  We focus on movement patterns, not body parts. Body part training is for body-builders. We want to get you fit and healthy and strong. Massive is not our thing!


This gives us a scientific start point that is then shared, confidentially, by our trainers, so they ALL know exactly how to train you. The whole team regularly meet to discuss individual cases, improvements and requirements, so as we can ensure the very best training and care for you throughout your journey

It's been said many times by better folk than me but it is true:


I was 28lb overweight, tired, irritable and a woman of a certain age (over 40) and in pain. Very unfit. I fell hard and heavy, I had a party coming up in 6-weeks time and no way was I buying a size-16 dress or being pushed in a wheel chair to my do! I joined Tribe!!

Week 1: Physical and lifestyle assessment


  • Scope of physical stamina - very low
  • Diet - cut the crap, eat fresh and clean, alkalise, no booze or coffee or wheat, or fun!
  • Plan - move and eat properly, treatment of injured sight.

Week 2

  • MOVE, MOVE, MOVE! Squats, lunges, interval training, and so much more.
  • More treatment

Week 3

  • Pain free movement! Lighter. Sleeping better, improved attention, positive, calm. And, HAPPY for the first time in ages!

Week 4 & 5

  • Repeat as above.
  • More strength, stamina, flexibility.

Week 6

  • SIZE-10!!!!! SERIOUSLY

I had been rehabbed tribe Style: fat replaced with lean muscle, I looked and felt great. The regime gave me the tools for a better quality of life for many, many years.

I was finding it hard to commit to the Muay Thai club I trained at in London three times a week due to work and a recent family addition. I decided that it was time to look for a personal trainer as I wanted to shorten the amount of time I trained but still maintain a reasonable level of fitness.

After several tedious sessions with the usual Meat Heads at a gym close to the office I decided to do some research and find a trainer that knows their stuff, and had their own private gym.

You can't help but be impressed with Tribe's extensive knowledge of different training methods and the human body. They also proved to me (rather painfully) how much you can get done in less than an hour.

When I started training at Tribe I explained the goals I wanted to achieve, I believe we have achieved my goals but rarely has a training session been the same, the only similarity comes at the end of each session where I am left in a sweaty heap, muttering obscenities in the guy's direction.

Despite having a desk job, I lead a fairly active life, Boxing, Snow-boarding & Motocross ... unfortunately with these sports you will pick up the odd injury, thankfully these have been diagnosed & cured on numerous occasions.

If you take your training seriously and are interested in the science behind it then I believe there is no better training around, and I’ve tried most!

I was suffering with a chronic bad back that was starting to affect my work and restricting my sporting activities.

After a thorough assessment and several months of strength and conditioning work and rehab my pian completely went. I was able to resume normal activities and begin a programme of improvement to my general fitness.

In that time my fitness has improved immensely to an extent where I feel fitter than I was in my 30's. I'm now 48 and have completed multiple Triathlons including at Half Ironman Distance.

From just one visit I have the scientific information I need to lose weight and it's so easy. No gimmicks, no low calorie cardboard tasting meals. Just the pleasure of eating real food and the correct number of calories based on my (tested) metabolic rate.

A desk and two computer screens; that is predominantly my view for the large part of the working week - plus often much of the weekends.

I would describe myself as being "built for comfort, rather than speed". I have on-going back problems (I refer you to the aforementioned desk), and am no longer the fighting snake I was in my early twenties. So, I decided to grab the metaphorical bull-by-the-horns and start seeing a personal trainer who would motivate and beat me into getting back into shape.

Tribe was my sadist(s) of choice.

There approach is far more rounded than "do a few push-ups". Ben and his team are exceptionally qualified, and versed in a wide-range of skills including dietary knowledge, deep-tissue massage, and acupuncture to name a few. If it involves your body, they have probably studied it!

They also understands the challenges of a modern working life. The long hours; the sitting at a desk; the unrelenting pressure... They take all of this into account, and tailors hyour sessions specifically to push you, but not to destroy you. All in the privacy of an amazingly well equipped, private gym; if you value excellence and privacy, then you have found the best.
