I have 30 years experience as a personal trainerstrength coach, therapist, and rehab specialist.

I have and continue to consult for professional athletes and teams, the armed services, high profile persons, and private health care.

I also specialise in rehabilitation, working with spinal rehab, and hip and knee replacement, in both pre and post surgery stages.

I have created a spinal rehabilitation program in partnership with a consultatnt neurosurgeon.

I was finding it hard to commit to the Muay Thai club I trained at in London three times a week due to work and a recent family addition. I decided that it was time to look for a personal trainer as I wanted to shorten the amount of time I trained but still maintain a reasonable level of fitness.

After several tedious sessions with the usual meat heads at a gym close to the office I decided to do some research and find a trainer that knows their stuff, and had their own private gym.

You can't help but be impressed with Ben's extensive knowledge of different training methods and the human body. He also proved to me (rather painfully) how much you can get done in less than an hour!

When I started training with Ben I explained the goals I wanted to achieve, I believe we have achieved my goals but rarely has a training session been the same, the only similarity comes at the end of each session where I am left in a sweaty heap, muttering obscenities in the guy's direction.

Despite having a desk job, I lead a fairly active life, Boxing, Snow-boarding & Motocross ... unfortunately with these sports you will pick up the odd injury, thankfully these have been diagnosed & cured on numerous occasions.

If you take your training seriously and are interested in the science behind it then I believe there is no better training around, and I’ve tried most!

I was unlucky to be involved in a cycling accident and suffered a broken L3 vertebrae.

After a thorough assessment and several months of strength and conditioning work and rehab my pain completely went. I was able to resume normal activities and begin a programme of improvement to my general fitness.

In that time my fitness has improved immensely to an extent where I feel fitter than I was in my 30's. I'm now 58 and have completed multiple Triathlons and cycling competitions, including an Ironman.

A desk and two computer screens; that is predominantly my view for the large part of the working week - plus often much of the weekends.

I would describe myself as being "built for comfort, rather than speed". I have on-going back problems (Ankylosing Spondylitis), and am no longer the fighting snake I was in my early twenties. So, I decided to grab the metaphorical bull-by-the-horns and seek some help.

Ben's approach is far more rounded than "do a few push-ups". It's been said many times by better folk than me but it is true:

POOR FUEL=POOR PERFORMANCE

I was 28lb overweight, tired, irritable and a woman of a certain age (over 40) and in pain. Very unfit. I fell hard and heavy, I had a party coming up in 6-weeks time and no way was I buying a size-16 dress or being pushed in a wheel chair to my do! I joined Tribe!!

Week 1: Physical and lifestyle assessment

Findings:
