A fully qualified Personal Trainer and NASM qualified Womens Fitness Specialist including training and nutrition in menopause, adolescence and pre/postnatal. I’m all about working smarter not harder, getting the best possible results in the most time efficient way - whilst educating and having fun!

What Can I Do For You?

I am a fully qualified Personal Trainer and NASM qualified Women's Fitness Specialist and have been since 2016 when I plucked up the courage to leave my desk job and pursue my passion for fitness - and I’ve never looked back.

I have a degree in Biological Sciences from The University of Liverpool and have worked within the medical world and so have had a solid foundation on which to build my Personal Training career. 

I very often get asked “what is Personal Training?”. It is whatever you need it to be and is tailored to the individual. One thing it isn’t is killing someone on a treadmill. I’m all about working smarter not harder, getting the best possible results in the most time efficient way - whilst educating and having fun! If your heads not happy, your body won’t do it. I train using the same principles that I use with clients so I know that it works. It’s realistic and fits into busy lives.

Initially I discuss what an individuals goals are and then we agree on a level of commitment required. It’s all about the individual, I just give the tools required. Following on from the initial consultation, nutrition is covered. This is an essential part of the process - and generally a pleasantly surprising one. No lettuces leaves and no starvation required! Then it’s onto the good stuff - the training - where the journey begins.

I can’t emphasise enough the positive effects of exercise - not just on how you look, but more importantly how you feel. I know how much exercise has improved my life. It’s now my mission to helps others discover it also.

Mel is amazing. She is a lovely person and a tough taskmaster! I was waking in pain every morning and nursing a range of injuries. My left shoulder had a severely reduced range of movement and was very week. After a few sessions the difference was already notable - I wasn’t waking in pain every day. Now a bit further on I am much stronger, have very little pain and have almost full movement in my shoulder for the first time in twenty years!

 

Mel is absolutely fantastic, I had a second session with her today and loved it more than the first! She's given me the confidence to use things in the gym that I'd probably normally avoid, she talks you through everything and most importantly doesn't judge you! You definitely know she's there to help & guide

 

Had my taster PT session with Mel this week and can't wait to sign up for more! She's given me the confidence to use weights and shaken up my workout. 
Her spin classes are brilliant too, with fab music! 
I'm excited about the next few months and watching my body change.you so we all reach our goals & of course great to chat to while your working out! X
