Wanting to achieve abetter quality of life, is why most my clients’ train with me. With our lifestyles getting more hectic, what with a balancing of family life, kids, work, travel, holidays, it’s important to not forget yourself. Correct exercise and nutrition is the key to having boundless energy to perform your daily tasks, having a better night sleep, and feeling good in the clothes that you wear. When you feel great I feel better for doing my job.
In Jan 2012 Valentine featured in SKY1 show Obese: A YEAR TO SAVE MY LIFE as the personal trainer for Jack Gorny and with expert guidance lost close to 12stones. Following his success with Jack, I was recalled for the second series to train Sarah in a show called FAT: A FIGHT FOR MY LIFE.
I graduated from Future Fit Training & University of East London in Personal Training and Sports & Recreation, Coaching, as well as Weight Management, and Sports Nutrition. I have been working as a certified personal trainer in the fitness industry since 2002 but coaching in sports and martial arts since 1997.
I am also a qualified Sports Therapist having graduated from Thomas Danby College Leeds. Now specialising in Remedial Sports Massage, Rehab and Injury Prevention therapy. So you are in safe hands.

The tools that I use, use your core stabiliser muscles, utilising unique athletic equipment designed to deliver sports performance methods to people of all fitness levels. My typical clients have included women pre-pregnancy and post-pregnancy, premiership footballers, rugby players, combative athletes, business people and busy people just like you.

I have been training with Val at (Rawfit) since October 2013. I have been a yoyo dieter for years always looking for quick fix weight loss. I went to the gym on average 3 times a week and enjoyed an active lifestyle yet I could never sustain a manageable weight which I was happy with.
When I first started the clean eating plan and the tri-weekly outdoor early morning training sessions at Roundhay Park the penny finally dropped that I needed to quit the diet food and the long sessions on the cross trainer and start eating clean wholesome food and pushing myself to the limits through short bursts of interval training.

My New Years resolution has been to lose weight and get fit every year for the past 25 years, but this year I had no need to make that. Through hard work and dedication with the help of Val and the inspiration of the other ladies, I train with I know this is now a lifestyle change not a short fix January resolution.

I completed 6 weeks of training with Val shortly after my third child. Val’s training schedule and nutrition plan complimented my goals mindful of postpartum sensitivities.
