What's The Point?
From the army to police forces, the 2.4km Run Performance Evaluation Test is used as a basic assessment tools for potential candidates. The rules are simple do it inside the time limit and youre in, fail and youre out.
Athletes also use it as a short run that enables them to predict their times for longer events based on their current fitness levels.
What Do You Need?

A stopwatch
- An assistant
How Do You Perform The Test?

Warm up thoroughly

Run 2.4km (6 laps of a 400m track)
- The assistant records the time taken to run the 2.4km
What Results You'll See
You can use your test score to estimate your time for other distances including the 5K and 10K.
What's Being Measured Again?
This is a good measure of general fitness.
