About Me

My name is Andy Coyne and I'm a Liverpool Personal Trainer who specialises in clients over 40 and/or with GP diagnosed medical issues.

What Can I Do For You?

I am a fully qualified Level 3 personal trainer through Fitness Industry Education.   I also hold certificates in Kettlebell training, TRX training, Personal Training Outdoors, Circuit training, kids fitness and group cycling.  


Further, I am qualified to work with clients who have particular medical complaints through the Level 3 GP Referral qualification (cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity, respiratory illnesses, mental health disorders, Parkinson's Disease and osteoarthritis/ rheumatoid arthritis). 


I live in South Liverpool with my wife and two young sons and have been involved in sports coaching for many years.  My background has mainly involved rowing, both indoor and on water.  I'm a British Rowing Level 2 coach, previously working with university and now club level athelets as well as private clients.  I also compete in running, and triathlon up to Ironman distance.


Whatever your goal, whether you want to lose some weight, improve your fitness, train for a particular event or build up some muscle, I can put together a customised training programme for you so we can reach your goals together. You won't get any standard training plans from me: my plans are always customised to the needs and goals of each client.  You will get support, encouragement and dedication from me to achieve your goal in the fastest time possible.  


Private 1-2-1 session, Partner and small group sessions are available.  Monthly payment options are also available to help keep track of monthly finances.  I ask help clients with advice on diet and nutrition to help reach their training goals.

Working with Andy we've been building back my fitness and technique having had a disrupted year around exercise. He knows his stuff and the session is varied with just enough room for negotiation if I'm not keen on something but normally he'll find a way to have me do it (stretching seems to be non negotiable much to my dismay!). Where I Train

1 to 1 Studio :Your Home :Park/Outdoor :


I offer clients a wide range of training options.  You can train in the comfort of your own home, or outdoors in a park or outdoor environment you find comfortable.  Alternatively I offer use of a well equipped Personal Training Studio in Wavertree, South Liverpool.  Here you have access to use of Concept 2 rowing machine, Schwinn indoor bike, cross trainer, treadmill as well as free weights, kettlebells, TRX suspension straps, bench, medicine balls, balance training bosu and swiss ball, etc.  This Personal Training Studio is available to all clients during their 1-2-1, partner or group training sessions.  Finally, there's the option to take part in training though online "virtual" sessions via FaceTime or Skype.  You receive an initial intro 1-2-1 video call, then either perform every session guided via video call or receive a training plan for you to follow at home alone or in your own gym.
