I prioritise quality of movement helping you move better, get stronger, and build confidence in the gym. All sessions are run from a private 1:1 PT studio.

While my passion and speciality lies in the sports of Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting, I offer strength and conditioning programmes for all levels, from complete beginners to competition athletes.

Whether you're new to training, preparing for a competition, or stuck at a plateau, I’m here to help. My expertise is in refining technique and designing detailed programmes to enhance performance, getting into the nitty-gritty of movement so you can train smarter, lift heavier, and stay injury-free.

Every programme is built from scratch, tailored specifically to you after a detailed movement assessment. While movement quality is king, sessions balance what you need with what you enjoy—keeping you motivated, progressing, and having fun while getting stronger.

No crash diets or unsustainable 8-week challenges here. If your nutrition needs attention, I work closely with a qualified nutritionist to help you achieve lasting performance and body composition goals. I also collaborate with physical therapists to keep you feeling great and training pain-free.

Training takes place at The Strength Shed, my private studio on Cheltenham Road, SE15 right in the middle between Peckham Rye, Nunhead, Forest Hill, and Honor Oak.

Small but mighty, the shed has everything you need to get strong. No mirrors, no distractions, and no other members. Just focused, effective training in a dedicated space.

The shed is super well kitted out, ready for indoor or outdoor workouts. Straight cardio is covered by a SkiErg (my personal nemesis) and everything else comes out of the brain of the man himself.
I've been training with Leo since COVID kicked off and I've never been stronger, or more confident in my body's ability to do what I ask of it.

Amanda - Leo is a brilliant trainer and a lovely guy. He always pushes me to improve but is never shouty: his style is to convince me that I can do stuff and be super-encouraging, and it works. His attention to form means I feel confident that I'm moving efficiently and safely. Plus he makes me laugh, plays great music and, best of all, helps me get grounded again when I'm feeling frazzled or collapsing in a teary heap. The Strength Shed has all the kit you could need, is toasty in the winter and cool in the summer and comes complete with pics of a weightlifting Judi Dench. What more could you possibly want?

 

Sarah - Leo listens carefully to your goals and builds workout plans that help you achieve them. In the gym he constantly tests your ability and adapts both the weight and the exercise to ensure the programming is fresh, interesting and results based. Leo records everything to ensure progress is charted and sessions are optimum and he regularly checks in and requests feedback to ensure you and he have the right focus and maximise your session time.

Emily - Leo is an absolutely fantastic trainer. He really puts you at ease and makes it really fun to work out (makes it so much easier to get out of bed in the morning). He is really mindful of how you might be feeling during training and is always helpful and supportive in between sessions. I lost over 10kilos for my wedding during my programme and its something that I will always be glad I made the effort to do. Not your average PT - if you are looking for someone that will go the extra mile - Leo is your guy!
