Working with you building confidence and strength for a lifetime
My no nonsense, friendly approach will help you cut through the confusing distractions that can fill the fitness space. My goal is to support you to find ways to exercise that are relevant, meaningful and effective for a lifetime. The breadth and depth of my knowledge and experience means I can help you navigate the pitfalls of the fitness industry to develop your movement skills and confidence.
With over 20 years experience as a personal trainer, and some of the best qualifications in the industry behind me, I’m qualified to work with clients across the spectrum from nervous beginner to competent athlete.
Underpinning all of my training is learning sound exercise techniques at the outset. As we work together I address your flexibility, core condition, and strength as a connected whole, changing those aspects that need attention, and ensuring that we are moving you towards a stronger, more robust body.
I offer regular coaching face to face in small personal training gyms. Through these focussed, fun sessions you will learn correct and relevant tecnhiques that will motivate you to do more. These consistent weekly sessions will future proof your fitness for a lifetime. I work from 3 gym locations, 'Define Fitness' in Beckenham, 'The Vault Gym' in Shoreditch, and 'PT Workspace' in Islington.
Prices start from £65.00 per session

I like to work with Swiss balls for fundamental core conditioning and strength work. To this I will add load to the main functional movements of lunges, squats, deadlifts, pushes and pulls using a variety of equipment. In particular I use cable machines for standing pushes and pulls, together with squat racks and barbells for safer, heavier loading and strength development in the various key lifts.
Other tools we might use include dumb bells, kettlebells, bosu balls, TRX straps, medicine balls, slam balls and whatever keeps your training fun and interesting. I'm also keen on teaching you to use your own bodyweight and the ground itself, to develop movement agility and balance.
