ARNI Functional Rehabilitation & Exercise Training after Stroke Qualification

Course Introduction

There are many hundreds of people in your own area right now who need your help. You may have never trained a stroke survivor before. Or you may have, but you want to make a REALLY SIGNIFICANT difference within a clear safety parameter because you understand that they want much more than you currently can teach them with your armoury of skills.

They need you to teach them evidence-based and innovative self-management skills

Course Content

You will learn how to teach essential task related practice to stimulate action control, creative physical coping strategies to perform ADL independently, and appropriate resistance training.

This CPD course is designed to enhance knowledge and skills in the area of stroke rehabilitation performed by for professional exercise trainers, many of whom will be already be training stroke survivors. All trainers complete:

• - 3 days of theory practical and theory training
• - 1 day conference (at the Royal Society of Medicine)
• - 2 half-days of appropriate shadowing with stroke units and existing ARNI instructors
• - 1 day of practical & theory assessments
• - A case study

Course Options

Taking this 6 Contact Day Qualification is the ONLY way that can be insured to rehabilitate stroke survivors even if you have completed a Level 4 REPs course.

The difference is that on this course you will learn how to teach things that stroke survivors REALLY want, and will ask you for help with (hire you for over the long term).

Without this CPD you will be unprepared to meet the full needs of a referred client. Clients want (and will pay for) you to help them rehabilitate.

What Qualification Will I Get?

On completion, the trainer receives the ARNI Institute FRETS Qualification Certificate

The trainer also earns the Middlesex University Accreditation in Stroke Rehabilitation. With this come 30 credits at BSc Level
