The thought of a Personal Trainer seeing me at my worst was my idea of hell, but I knew if I wanted to make the changes I needed, I would have to bite the bullet and get over it!  Alex wasn’t how I had imagined a Personal Trainer to be, in that he could tell when to push me harder and more importantly when not to.  This is what made all the difference for me. I was at the gym because I chose to be, I did not want to have anyone yelling at me or forcing me to do anything. 

Alex encouraged me and pushed me only as far as he knew I could go, adapting every session where he needed to.  The results were immediate and just as importantly, visible and I was losing between 3 and 5 lbs a week which made me more determined and focused.  Having someone to tell your loss to each week, giving you diet advice and general encouragement really helped. 

I have been on many diets and tried various exercise regimes over the years and have never been as successful.  The combination of diet and exercise is really the way to go, and the encouragement and guidance from Alex made all the difference for me, helping me achieve a 30 kg (4.7 st) loss in 7 months.
